WHAT IS WRITING

BY WILLIAM M DONNELLY

Writing isn’t about creating the next great American novel. Writing is about translating our personal and unique neurological response to life into something understandable and tangible on the page.

We learn, over time, to turn our gut feelings and emotional inklings into words and phrases. What is just a sensation in our body can present itself as beautiful clarity in written word.

And from this journey, meaningful essays, remarkable stories, and yes, the great American novel, can be developed.

Because - That which is compelling and interesting on the page is born from what is real in the human heart."
